We have spent our first night in Belgium. It has been a bit rainy. We have been keeping busy riding the metro around town. We will be posting some pictures soon.
After our test, we drove into West LA to pick up our new passports. They offered to send them to us, but we have had enough of that. “We will pick them up!” They are the new high tech ones that have a chip embedded in them that contains all the information. They are a bit stiffer than the old ones. The visa page pictures are really pretty but there is less space for entry and exit stamps, only four per page. Our pictures on the other hand are rather pink and washed out. We leave the country in less than a week and a half.
Amanda and I got to take a 500 + question test to see if we are off our rockers. This will be the third time I have had to take it. I took it once when joining OM, it once joining OMF. I jotted down a few of choice True or False questions we were asked, just to make it fun.
In honor of Amanda’s coworkers! They are hoping we will see some animals while in Africa.
Seventeen days from now we leave for Senegal! Three days ago I found out that the Togo Embassy in Washington DC put our passports in a FedEx drop box in an unmarked manila envelope‽ That is why I am happy for time. Time to go get new passports at the Los Angeles Passport Agency next week. And then time to re-get our Togo visa and a Ghana visa.
This and the past post have been on a painful note. Next time we lighten up a little eh?
